We collect as little as possible to run Maveon. We don't sell your data. You can request deletion at any time.
Overview
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights, including account deletion.
Information we collect
- Account data (email, account identifiers) to sign in and save your data.
- Profile data you provide (e.g., name, optional details) shown in your profile.
- Studio order data (items, pricing, status) so we can fulfill your purchases and show order history.
- Shipping address (name, street, city, postal code, country) to deliver physical products.
- Uploads you provide for Studio (photos/images) used to create your personalized products.
- Approximate location when you search (to find nearby places) if you allow location access.
- Usage and diagnostics (screens you view, taps, crash logs) to improve reliability and performance.
- Device basics (model, OS version, language) to support the app and fix bugs.
Journey Photo Discovery
Journey Photo Discovery helps you find photos and possible trips from the photo library on your iPhone. The discovery process is designed to happen on-device.
- Photo Discovery starts only after you choose to scan and grant Photos permission.
- During scanning, Maveon reads lightweight Photos metadata on your device, such as creation date, GPS coordinate, favorite status, and media type.
- Scanning, matching, clustering, local thumbnails, and library metadata are not uploaded to Maveon.
- Maveon does not upload your photo library, thumbnails, or full-resolution photos during discovery.
- A selected photo is uploaded to Maveon only after you review the suggestion, choose that photo, and confirm adding it.
- If Photo Discovery suggests a new place, the place name, date, location, and memory type may sync like normal Diary data after you create that memory.
- For place-name suggestions, your device may send a coordinate to Apple's reverse-geocoding service. This is handled by Apple's system service and is not sent to Maveon for discovery.

How we use your information
- To operate Maveon (Trips, Favorites, Achievements) and sync your data across devices.
- To run Moments Studio: create orders, process fulfillment, provide support, and show order status/history.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and keep the service secure.
- To communicate important updates about your account or orders (transactional emails).
- To send product or launch emails only if you opt in; unsubscribe anytime.
Payments
Payments for physical goods in Moments Studio are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Stripe may collect and process payment data according to their own policies.
Sharing
We don't sell personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers when needed to run the app and Studio, for example: payment processing, image storage, hosting, and analytics/crash reporting, under contract. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed to provide Maveon and fulfill Studio orders, or as required by law. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to systems is restricted and logged. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your rights
- Access, correct, export, or delete your data.
- Delete your account in-app (Profile → Settings → Delete account), or contact us for help.
- Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time.
